“I love space because it makes me feel small. While that might be terrifying to some people, it’s thrilling and comforting to me. What’s above us has been there long before we were a thought, and will persevere long after our stroke on the world’s consciousness. It’s worth looking up at and exploring.”

ASH WHEELER | OWNER

Ash Wheeler is a future astrophysicist and astro-artist living and working in Atlanta, Georgia.

She is currently painting the spherical bodies of our solar system while just having finished earning her degree in astrophysics to better support her work and one day work in the space industry. Her art focuses on the scientific foundations of the worlds she portrays, from canyons to chasmata to craters, all details large and small are considered in her round paintings. The enigmas of the universe are what drive her to recreate the satellites above us, hopefully inspiring viewers to feel the gravity of their scale in comparison to all of creation. The launch of her website’s shop is the premiere space of her original paintings of the solar system.

Wheeler has been invited to multiple events hosted by NASA and has participated in a video for the space agency. She has been interviewed by Vans Girls, Georgia State University, Georgia Tech, VoyageATL, Shoutout Atlanta and Let’s Talk with Scoggs. She has painted murals for companies such as So Worth Loving and No18 and has partnered with brands such as a AstroReality , Mova Globes, Fredrix Canvas, Rhinoshield, Winc and Mejuri. She has also been invited to host pop-ups at NASA, Brick+Mortar and Shoppe Native. Wheeler has also partnered with retailers Hamlin in Serenbe to offer a select few of her originals for sale and the Startorialist’s online shop. She has also hosted a webinar by Kallisto, a youth-led STEM initiative on arts and astrophysics.
